As I was on a short trip in Venice, I was walking around the narrow streets surrounded by the canals. After crossing several bridges, I reached the Grand Canal with gondolas moored on the sides. I walked up and down trying to find an interesting angle or spot.
As I pointed my camera, I looked through the view finder to help with the composition and took the shot. The old buildings with their ruined exterior that seemed to be reminiscing of a glorious past, made an interesting background with the water and the gondolas moored up in the foreground. The place in itself looked rather surreal, with views that one could only think of in tales and old stories, but it is a place surely worth visiting at least once in your lifetime.
